Living in Knots

The false selves we try to uphold tie us into knots that keep us bound from our true nature.  So deeply seeded in our psyches, they whisper that no other existence is possible; an enigma whose solution feels out of reach. 

We subsist in this mire until we feel a nudge towards something different.  Finally, we stop looking for answers outside ourselves; choosing to sit still, create space and befriend the darkness.  Only there do we find our lifeline within reach, where we can pull and pull until all our falseness unravels and is brought into the light. 

The truth of our tangles can now be woven into new patterns, reflecting the essence of who we are. 

This new creation, found in befriending, is peace.
